Setting up PMO for Fintech
The client, a fintech company in Switzerland, sought to initiate an IT optimization project to improve operational efficiency and enhance collaboration among various IT teams.
With diverse initiatives from optimizing internal workflows to enhancing customer-facing applications, the project required extensive planning in the initial project stage.
The client enlisted the assistance of a Project Management Office (PMO) consultant to set up the project roadmap.

Working closely with the CIO, the consultant started by developing the PMO charter, outlining PMO goals, milestones, workstreams, and KPIs.
A more detailed governance framework was then established to define project roles, decision-making responsibilities, and communication channels.
The establishment of a steering committee and comprehensive project documentation laid the foundation for alignment, governance, and a successful project launch.
