The client, a packaging company based in India, embarked on their cloud migration journey. They sought the support of a team of experienced cloud consultants to define their cloud strategy from initial assessment to governance and compliance.

Consultport proposed 12 candidates within 96 hours. The client interviewed 10 candidates and built a project team led by a former Accenture Associate Director, along with three former Accenture and Capgemini Senior Consultants. The project team started working with the client 10 days after the initial request.

Approach

Formulating Cloud Strategy

Collaborating with the internal IT organization, the team conducted a comprehensive assessment of the IT infrastructure. The assessment involved identifying key data to be migrated to the cloud, understanding data security measures, and analyzing potential risks.

Afterward, the team performed a requirement analysis to gather specific requirements on scalability, security, and compliance for the cloud platform.

Based on the assessment, the team developed a strategic report outlining a customized cloud strategy.

Solution

Strategic Roadmap & Internal Workshops

Based on the strategic report, the team designed a cloud migration strategic roadmap. From network design to storage considerations and data migration, the team presented strong arguments for the selected strategies and action plans defining the steps, timelines, and resources required for successful implementation.

To allow better data management on the cloud, the team implemented several hands-on workshops to provide essential training for practitioners.

The well-developed strategic roadmap received endorsements from the client’s management team, while the workshops effectively facilitated knowledge transfer and fostered a sense of readiness for the cloud transition.
