For Companies
How do I request a consultant for my business?
First, you provide us with the project briefing and consultant request details. We will get back to you to clarify remaining questions. Once done, we will start our matching process, and will propose you potential candidates via your client project dashboard. From there you can decide which consultant fits well for your purpose.
How do I let the consultant know that I want to work with them?
You can get to know the consultant via an interview by phone, video call, or personal meeting. Once you decide to work together, you just let us know, and sign the deal.
How much do the consultants cost?
The consultant request, search and proposal of consultants is free of charge. Every consultant has a different rate, which we communicate to you. You only pay once you book the consultant according to their rate.
Do I pay the consultant directly?
You will receive the invoice for the consultant costs by Consultport, which consists of the consultant rate and our service fee. After receiving your payment, we pay out the consultant.
What happens if I’m not satisfied with a consultant?
We do everything we can to ensure the best fit possible between the client and the consultant. But, in case you realize it is not the right fit, just reach out to us, and we will help you to solve any issues quickly.
Can Consultport's consultants also work remotely?
As a client you define your expectations on remote and onsite work. Some clients prefer having the consultants on-site at all times, some prefer remote and others favour a mix. Whatever works best with your company and project setup – it is completely up to you to define, and agree with the consultant.
How quickly can I start working with the consultant that I choose?
In most cases we can propose a potential candidate within a few working days. However, it also depends on the complexity of the request and the time availability of the consultants. We are always committed to provide you with suitable candidates as fast as possible.
Why is Consultport so much cheaper than conventional top consultancies?
Consultport has no permanent consultants or partners. Moreover, it is a very lean organisational structure and has an efficient process. This saves a lot of money. Hence, creating a win-win situation for both clients and consultants.
For Consultants
I’m thinking about going independent. Does it make sense to join Consultport?
Yes. Consultport is the harbour of independent business consultants and digital experts. We bring new client projects to your attention and can therefore help you to get new business opportunities.
Can anyone join Consultport?
Consultport’s strength comes through the quality of its experts pool. Therefore, we are very selective of who we accept in our network. Our current project focus leads us to select consultants only with high relevant expertise and experience in management consulting and digital topics.
Do I get feedback on my proposals?
We actively encourage clients to give feedback and many will do so and provide detailed feedback to the consultants they’ve shortlisted. In case you don’t hear from us, just reach out, and we are happy to provide you an update.
I haven’t been approved to join the network although I think I have a profile that matches. Can you explain why?
Please make sure that your profile demonstrates clear evidence of a strong track record in a leading management consultancy firm and/or that you have proven management and digital expertise in established organisations or successful digital-first companies. If this is the case, make sure that you have completed all the profile fields on application.
Can I work remotely on projects?
It depends on the projects – some, particularly things like market assessment and due diligence projects, can be carried out remotely whereas others need some time on-site. But this is specified in the project details, and agreed with the client.
What happens if my pitch on a project is accepted?
Many clients will also want to speak with you to understand more about you and your proposal. If after this your proposal is accepted, there will be an agreement generated on the platform which will form the basis of the contract. This needs you and the client’s review and when it’s agreed, then you can finally start working on the project.
I’ve been invited to a project. How do I apply for it?
The application process is easy: You need to submit a short pitch that sells yourself into the project and back this with your registered profile. The proposal process often highlights where you may have experience but haven’t included it in your Consultport profile: use this as an opportunity to update.
