Dawson joined Consultport in 2025 and brings a strong background in sales, recruiting, and relationship management. In this interview, he shares insights into his journey, his role in business development, and what excites him most about working at Consultport.
Can you tell us a little about your professional journey before joining Consultport?
Before joining Consultport, I worked in sales and recruiting roles where my focus was on building relationships and helping businesses find solutions to their talent and growth challenges. Those experiences helped me develop strong communication and business development skills, especially when it comes to identifying opportunities and building trust with clients.
When I discovered Consultport, I was immediately interested in the model of connecting companies with top independent consultants and the opportunity to work in an international, fast-moving environment.
What does your role in Business Development involve?
My role is focused on building relationships with companies and identifying opportunities where Consultport can support their strategic initiatives.
On a typical day, I speak with business leaders to understand their challenges, explore how external expertise could support their goals, and introduce them to the Consultport platform.
A big part of the role is developing new client relationships, growing our network of companies, and helping organizations understand how flexible consulting solutions can accelerate their projects.
Can you share a project that stood out to you?
One of the most rewarding aspects of the role is when a conversation with a potential client turns into a real partnership.
I remember working with a company that was exploring new ways to access specialized expertise for a strategic initiative. Through our discussions, we were able to show how Consultport could help them move faster and access the right knowledge when they needed it.
Seeing that moment when clients realize the value of the platform and decide to move forward is incredibly rewarding.
What’s the work culture like at Consultport’s Berlin office?

I’d say a mix of:
