Can you tell us a little about your professional journey before joining Consultport?
I first came across Consultport on LinkedIn and was immediately drawn to its mission—making high-quality consulting talent more accessible to businesses. The idea of working in a fast-moving, international environment, engaging with top-tier consultants, and directly impacting businesses sounded really exciting. After speaking with the team, I knew this was the right place for me to grow.
What does your role in Indian Business Development & Project Delivery involve?
I’d say it’s a mix of problem-solving, strategy, and relationship-building. My day-to-day involves:
- Understanding client needs and helping them find the right consulting talent.
- Managing end-to-end project execution, ensuring smooth collaboration between clients and consultants.
- Expanding our client network in India and MENA.
- Building long-term relationships with both clients and consultants to create successful partnerships.
No two days are ever the same! One moment, I’m strategizing with a client about their expansion plans, and the next, I’m onboarding a consultant for a high-impact project. It keeps things exciting!
Can you share a project that really stood out for you?
Definitely! One of the most exciting projects I worked on was an emerging market growth strategy for a leading power tool manufacturer. The client needed expert insights to enter key markets in Asia and Latin America. Within just 48 hours, we connected them with an incredible consultant who helped shape a comprehensive market entry strategy.
The best part? The client was blown away by how quickly we delivered such high-quality expertise. Seeing the real impact of our work and knowing that we played a key role in their success was an amazing feeling.
What’s the work culture like at Consultport’s Mumbai office? How does it compare to other environments you’ve worked in?
The Mumbai office is dynamic, fast-paced, and super collaborative.

What skills do you think are essential to succeed in your role in Indian Business Development?
I’d say a mix of:
- Communication skills: Being able to engage effectively with clients and consultants.
- Strategic thinking: Understanding market trends and how to address client needs.
- Adaptability: No two projects are the same, so being able to pivot is key.
- Proactiveness: Taking initiative and solving problems before they arise.
- Results-driven mindset: Managing multiple projects and delivering real impact.
